Prince Edward Island provides a property tax deferral program in which payment of property taxes on a principal residence can be deferred by eligible PEI seniors.

That program provides for the deferral of all property taxes owing by homeowners aged 65 or older who have an annual income of less than $35,000. No interest charges are imposed on deferred property tax account balances.
